How we look after your family
The short version, in plain English. This page describes how the app works; it is not our full privacy policy.
Your journal is private
Only the grown-ups and children in your clan can open it. Guests see only entries you mark for guests, inside the link you give them, and you can revoke a link at any time.
Children's photos are never public
Every photo is re-encoded when it's uploaded, which strips the camera details and location. Photos are only ever served through the app to people allowed to see them; there are no public photo links.
No location tracking
Atlas pins are placed by hand. Clan Path never asks your device for its location, and quests are completed with a tap, never by GPS.
Schools and places see totals, never families
Their quests flow into your journal; nothing flows back. A teacher sees the name you chose for your child in their class and whether a quest is marked done. A venue sees totals, and any count under five is hidden.
No ads, no selling, no leaderboards
We don't show adverts, sell or share your data, or compare children with each other.
What we keep
Account details (names and email addresses), what your clan writes and uploads, and the settings you choose. When you delete a story, a place or a photo, the photo itself is deleted too, not just hidden. Sign-in uses a secure session cookie; there are no advertising or analytics cookies.
To ask what we hold about you, or to have it deleted, email hello@clanpath.com. Clan owners can also delete their whole clan from Camp settings.
